The clothing industry may be the second most polluting industry on our planet after the petroleum industry, responsible for 10% of all greenhouse gasses emitted in the world today.
It also accounts for a fifth of the 300 million tons of plastic produced globally each year. With “fast fashion” on the rise and minimal recycling, the clothing industry's contribution to the global CLIMATE CRISIS has increased 35 percent from 2005 to 2016.
